General Questions

1. What services do you offer?
We offer individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and trauma-informed care. Our clinicians specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, life transitions, and more.

2. Are your services virtual or in-person?
Bridging the Gap Therapy Services is a fully virtual practice. All sessions are conducted securely online through Simple Practice which is our HIPAA-compliant teleHealth platform that we use.

3. How do I get started?
Getting started is simple. Click on our “Book Online” button or contact our office at 954-716-2427. You may also complete our contact form (https://bridgingthegaptherapyservices.clientsecure.me/contact-widget) and we will reach out to you  Our Administrative Assistant will contact you to verify your insurance and walk you through the intake process in preparation for your appointment.

Insurance & Payment

4. Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We accept a variety of insurance plans. Please contact us directly or scroll to the end of this page to view a list of some of the plans we currently accept. We also offer private pay options.

5. What is the cost of therapy if I’m not using insurance?
Our self-pay rates vary depending on the service. The intake appointments are $250. Individual sessions typically range from $80–$250, and group sessions start at $50 per session.

6. Do you offer payment plans or financial assistance?
Yes, we offer promotional purchases through Care Credit, and we can work with you on payment arrangements.

Therapy Process

7. What can I expect during my first session?
The first session (intake) is focused on getting to know you—your concerns, goals, and history. It’s also a chance for you to ask questions and ensure a good therapeutic fit.

8. How long are sessions?
Sessions typically last 53-60 minutes. Shorter sessions may be available based on your needs and therapist recommendations.

​

9. How often should I attend therapy?
Most clients start with weekly and every other week sessions. However, frequency may vary depending on your needs, preferences, and the treatment plan created during your intake session.

10. How long will I be in therapy?
This varies for everyone. Some clients find a few months helpful, while others benefit from longer-term support. We will regularly review your progress and goals to determine what works best for you.

Specialty Services

11. What is trauma-focused therapy?
Trauma-focused therapy helps individuals process and heal from past traumatic experiences using evidence-based approaches such as TF-CBT, DBT, and our proprietary Trauma-Pro Model.

​

12. Do you offer therapy for children or teens?
Yes. We provide age-appropriate therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults, with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed care and skill-building.

​

13. Do you offer group therapy?
Yes. We offer several groups including Anger Management, Social Anxiety, Grief & Bereavement, Relationship Abuse Recovery, and a faith-based ACT group. Groups typically run in 10-week cycles, except the ACT group which is an open and ongoing group.

Confidentiality & Safety

14. Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Your privacy is a top priority. All information shared in therapy is confidential except in cases where disclosure is legally required (e.g., risk of harm to self or others, abuse).

​

15. What should I do if I’m in a crisis?
We are not a crisis center. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. You can also contact the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988.

Other Questions

16. Can I switch therapists if I don’t feel a good fit?
Absolutely. We believe the therapeutic relationship is key to healing. If you feel your current therapist isn't the right match, we’re happy to help you transition to another provider on our team.

​

17. Do you write letters for disability, work accommodations, or emotional support animals (ESAs)?
Yes, but this is assessed on a case-by-case basis. Your therapist will need to complete a thorough evaluation and determine clinical appropriateness before writing any documentation.

​
