Tina Maria Abdo is a Master’s Level Clinician Intern currently pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. With a strong academic foundation in anthropology and sociology, Tina Maria brings a unique and culturally attuned perspective to the counseling profession.

Tina Maria’s approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, respect, and a deep understanding of human interconnectedness. She is committed to creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel seen, valued, and empowered in their healing journey. Her therapeutic style is holistic and person-centered, integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), psychodynamic principles, and somatic practices to promote mind-body awareness and healing.

Her clinical interests include complex trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, multicultural and immigration-related issues, emotional regulation, neurodiversity, and life transitions. She is especially passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults using evidence-based and creative interventions that include meaning-making, humor, and expressive strategies.

Having lived on three continents in both Western and Eastern contexts, Tina brings a rich multicultural lens to her work. She has experienced both privilege and marginalization and is deeply committed to inclusivity and cultural humility. Tina Maria is fluent in English, Arabic, and French, with conversational Spanish, enabling her to build strong therapeutic connections with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Tina Maria's ultimate goal is to support each client’s unique journey by fostering resilience, self-worth, acceptance, and holistic well-being through a collaborative and personalized treatment process.

Clinical Mental Health Counselor In Training

Shanique Wilson is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with the goal of becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. With several years of practical experience in the mental health field, Shanique brings a modern, informed perspective to her clinical work. Her journey includes three years at Lifestream Care Facility, where she gained hands-on experience supporting clients with various mental health needs.
​
In addition to her clinical background, Shanique has worked as a child advocate and care coordinator, facilitating supervised visits and assisting individuals transitioning into treatment. These roles exposed her to a diverse outpatient caseload, enriching her understanding of mental health across life stages and backgrounds. She is especially passionate about advocating for improved access to mental health resources in underserved communities.

Shanique’s therapeutic approach is goal-oriented and empowering, inspired by her belief that each individual has the will and strength to grow and overcome challenges. She emphasizes education, personal discovery, and client autonomy, striving to create a safe, supportive space for healing and transformation.
